The 6,100 yards from the back tees, may seem that this is an easy golf course, but don’t be lulled into that false sense of security. The demanding layout of both parkland and links styled holes possesses great natural hazards which makes playing Pwllheli a real challenge for all golfing abilities. Don’t forget to take into account the memorable 10th as this will leave a great impression of your round of golf at Pwllheli Golf Club.
Pwllheli Golf Club is located in Gwynedd, North West Wales. Follow the A499 from Caernarfon or the A497 from Porthmadog.
Played Pwllheli on a glorious saterday afternoon in October, the welcome in the Pro shop was superb, even asked if we would like the chef to stay if we wanted to have some food after the game,,,, Saturday afternoon nobody in front of us and nobody behind us, had time to make the most of our visit, front seven is parkland, nice tree lined fairways but the holes were a bit up and down, with fairly wet fairways considering there had been no rain for days. from 8 to finish its a cross between heath and links, a bit different actually, a nice selection of holes, the course did not feel overly difficult but the weather/wind was totally benign, I would imagine a totally different obstacle in inclement conditions, overall condition of the course was good, would definately return and recommend to friends. nice one !!
I recommend this course
