Currently ranked as the 4th best course in Wales and almost a permanent fixture in the Top 100 of UK and Ireland, Aberdovey Golf Club is a links of some pedigree. Founded in 1892, it has had three of the finest course designers of all time fine tune the layout here. Braid, Colt and Fowler have all influenced the design of the course to varying degrees and the combination is just majestic. Sat at the mouth of the Dovey River where it hits the wilds of the Irish Sea, Aberdovey Golf Club is an incredible links running up the coastline in the shadow of towering dunes and the south western extreme of the Snowdonia National Park. Host to a number of Welsh Golf Union competitions and British home internationals, this is an extremely high quality course with an excellent clubhouse and views to match.

Our View

One of the ‘must play’ links courses of the British Isles, Aberdovey’s standards and heritage make it a true delight. It is great value for such a high quality course and has none of the premonitions that you might expect of such a prestigious club. A great welcome, a wonderful golf course and a beautiful location all combine to make this one of the best you could play.
