Biggar Golf Club has a long and varied history, establishing itself late on in the 19th Century. The course was extended from a 9 to 18-hole course not long after moving to its current location and was opened by none other than Old Tom Morris. This is not the only famous name attached to the club as the professional course record is held by one of Scotland’s finest golfers and Ryder Cup participants - Paul Lawrie.
With well over 100 years of history Biggar Golf Club has moulded itself into an enjoyable test of golf with a course that rewards accuracy and strong approach shots over length. The professional record, held by the Ryder Cup’s Paul Lawrie, is a great challenge to take on but will definitely take some beating.
