Crow Wood Golf Course is a parkland course measuring just over 6,160 yards from the championship tees. The tree-lined fairways make accuracy off the tee essential. The par 4, 13th hole is sure to demand your full attention as any wayward shots will be punished. The course is full of strategically placed bunkers and tiered greens making the course a very tough test indeed.
Crow Wood Golf Club is located 15 minutes outside of Glasgow, along the A80.
Played today. Course was sodden even though there hadn't been too much rain. Puddles in the middle of the fairway more like a water feature. No sand in the bunkers was more like grit. Walked off after 11 as was not enjoying it
Enjoyed my first time around this course - Had heard some good things about it in the past and had a great time playing it this week. Another reviewer has described it as being heavy underfoot, and that is the case due to the nature of their subsoil, and it shows in the quality of the fairway and rough grasses. Still a nice layout with some good holes. Best played after a dry spell for sure. Greens were in great condition! I did not take advantage of the facilities after the round, so can't comment on them. Wish a yardage book had been available though as it does help you pick your lines and what clubs to hit, etc.
I recommend this course
This is a good and interesting layout with a variety of holes offering different challenges. Unfortunately, it was spoiled by very wet and heavy conditions underfoot, which was surprising for mid-June. The greens putted nicely though.
