Having been played as just a 9-hole course for the majority of its existence the opening of the back nine in 1996 has been warmly welcomed by both members and visitors alike. The 18 holes are now a strong test of golf with rolling fairways and undulating greens requiring precise positional play to take advantage of the lush conditions. The course is summed up well by the 6th hole - this mid length par 4 will challenge you to name the seven different counties that can be seen from the tee while deciding what side of the split fairway to take on.
Located between Glasgow and the West Coast of Ayrshire, 15 minutes outside Paisley just off the A737.
Course should never have been open. Ground was like a bogg evreywhere. Poor layout hitting over shared fairways. Sharing greens. Hard to see where to aim on 1st and 2nd shots. Although we were told it was not winter greens around 9 holes flags were not in so had to guess where the hole was. Even in dry conditions i would not enjoy this course. It should be 9 holes they have squeezed too much in and it doesnt work.
