The Aboyne Golf Club club originally opened in 1883 with just 9 holes and was then extended to 18 in 1908. When the course was further extended in length in 1913 an exhibition match was held between Harry Vardon and Ted Ray to mark the occasion. The club is in a truly magnificent setting by the Aboyne Loch and has some superb views stretching across the local countryside. The modern clubhouse offers all the facilities required and there are few better places to relax after an enjoyable game. Visitors and members alike all appreciate the welcoming atmosphere while admiring vast panoramic views from the upstairs lounge or balcony.
Aboyne Golf Club has enjoyed a rich history of golf since first opening and has even hosted an exhibition match between Harry Vardon and Ted Ray in 1913. Free-draining soil and a dry micro-climate make it a perfect venue regardless of which time of the year you decide to visit.
