Course Information

Muir of Ord Golf Club is home to a traditional heathland/moorland course which is known as one of the Highlands most improving courses. The 18 holes on offer are of great variety which is best described in the courses short holes. The 12th hole is one of the toughest par 3s that can be found in the north - 214 yards off the back tees makes for a tough shot onto the only landing area, the green, with wood on the left, heather on the right and a bunker if you miss either. After completing one of the tougher holes on the course, stepping onto the 13th tee you will be greeted with one of the more enjoyable challenges. At just 106 yards, the green sits around 100 feet above the tee but don’t be fooled as bunkers sit short and right to catch out any lapse in concentration.

    Great Heathland course

I was recommended to play here by the Pro at Fortrose and Rosemarkie gc. Definitely worthwhile a great test of golf not to long but demanding tee shots along the rail line. Small greens makes your approach a challenge protected by bunkers with plenty of sand. Winter golf doesn't get any better as the condition was great. Didn't get to try the facility's as had to dart but if it was as friendly as the pro the it wouldn't be half bad. I will definitely be back to avenge the beating my son handed me.

    Muir of Ord

A really nice short par 68 course. Some tight tee to fairway holes with out of bounds on to a main road and railway line a various points on the course. Windy at times making some of the lengthy holes a challenge. Back to back par 3s can also be emotional.
