The course at Kingussie Golf Club was extended to 18 holes by Harry Vardon in 1908 after initially starting out as a 9-hole course in 1890. Various other improvements have been made since then but the course has remained close to its original layout. Sitting in the Spey Valley this Top 100 Course in Scotland has spectacular views over the Cairngoms afforded by its elevated position. The clubhouse has panoramic views over the course and surrounding countryside, and many visitors will find pleasure in relaxing at a window table in the clubhouse after a challenging game.
Kingussie translates from Gaelic to ‘head of the pinewood’ which gives a great indication of the golf on offer at the club. This Top 100 Course in Scotland offers scenic views over the Cairngoms from its elevated position further adding to the enjoyment factor that this relatively short course has to offer.
