This par-70, 18-hole parkland course measures 5,914 yards. The course defends its par with three water hazards, tight fairways and strategically placed bunkers that are sure to catch you out at some point in the round.
In Winchburgh, not far from the M9
Niddry Castle Golf Course is a wee hidden gem. The staff and members are friendly and we were treated to a sensational steak pie on our return. The Course is made up of 9 old holes and 9 built more recently. The old holes have more personality but the whole course, whilst not being terribly long, is tricky and testing, and a straight ball is required to avoid the course's many hazards. All 18 full greens were in play, and I have seldom played truer and well managed parkland greens at this time of year. Well done to the green keeping staff. Although there has been a lot of rain over the last week, very few parts of the course felt too wet underfoot. An excellent day out and we will return to Niddry Castle over the summer to sample more of the delicious steak pies, and the warm welcoming atmosphere!! Thank you!
