Despite being an inland course Falkirk Tryst Golf Club is surprisingly link-like due to being laid out over sandy soil. The Honorary Professional to the R&A, Jon Panton, has described the course as "one of the best all year round courses in the area." Due to the sandy soil the course is always in impeccable condition and is playable even in the worst of Scottish weather. There are a great variety of holes from two 200+ yard, par 3s (including the 1st) to tight, short par 4s as well as some more testing long holes. Regardless of how you hit the ball you will be sure to use every club in the bag and will need to be vigilant so as to avoid the array of sand traps that lurk on most holes.
Just 5 minutes outside Falkirk just off the M876 & M9.
Really flat and an easy walk. Some holes appear similar thou different yard ages and their own challenge. In really god condition even thou had been plenty rain the days before. Greens were realy good and true. Overall a nice coarse all should enjoy playing.
I recommend this course
