Course Information

The James Braid design at Alloa Golf Club is of championship length and can present a challenge to even the best of golfers, while always being enjoyed by the average player. There are a number of short par 4s early on the card which are a great opportunity for a birdie or two to get things going. The finishing holes are not so simple with two demanding par fours along with a 221 yard par 3 to negotiate, each possessing their own perils but be sure not to be caught out by the ditch in front of the 17th green.

    Alloa golf course

First time playing this course. Started off with a really nice looking hole which set up the day. First green was really soggy but that was the only one. The rest of the greens were in great condition for the time of year as was the whole course. Didn't use the facilities so can't comment on them. Views around the course were beautiful. Will definitely be back but probably try to do so in the height of summer months.

    hidden gem

Just heard a favourable report on the course a couple of weeks ago and it lived up to that. Couldn't believe it was in such good condition after recent rain and views of the Ochils and Wallace Monument just make it. Beating my son on the 18th helped!
