Hawick Golf Club was established in 1877, making it the oldest club in the Borders. The course is a James Braid design and the club count Nick Faldo, Colin Montgomerie and Tony Jacklin amongst its list of honorary members. The clubhouse was extensively refurbished in March 2011 and the bar and restaurant are open throughout the season.
The course at Hawick is laid out over the contours of the Vertish Hill with each hole further up until you reach the highest point on the 15th 'Gallery' hole. Great golf and spectacular views are both to be had here.
