Club Information

King James VI Golf Club can make the unique claim of being the country’s only inland island golf course. The River Tay runs either side of Moncrieffe Island upon which the golf club sits. The club, which was founded in 1858, has not always operated on the island and moved to its current location in 1897 making it one of the UK’s oldest surviving golf clubs. What’s more, the prestige of this club is further enhanced by the fact that the course was laid out by the renowned golf architect, Old Tom Morris.
