While Scoonie Golf Course is an exceptionally fun course, each hole presents its own unique challenges. Make the most of the shorter par 4s as they offer wider fairways for an opportunity for big hitting. Dry links style greens can make putting a little easier and the entire course is suitable for golfers of all levels of ability. Burns and mature trees prove to quite tricky hazards and approach shots onto the green while avoiding the greenside bunkers prove to be one of the more challenging aspects of the course.
Scoonie Golf Club is located just over 7 miles from Glenrothes, easily accessible via the A915.
This is an enjoyable course to play, took less than 3 hours to play 18holes. Challenging elevated green (?13th) Clubhouse facilities could be extended as no food available, but staff welcoming.
I recommend this course
