    Friendly Staff

The course was not very busy. Couldn't get rental clubs because they were all out so he put together a set Fred Flinstone used so I could play. Did not charge for clubs and was very helpful. I should have phoned ahead. Would definitely go back.

    Great Course and Value

We found the going very rough as Ireland was in a state of flood so it's hard to blame the course. There are some great holes on this course. I feel it is much better in the summer. Course catering was closed and the attached hotel had a wedding which meant that food wasn't immediately available - there was a waiting list for a table in the terrace lounge which was disappointing and so we decided to go into Trim for our lunch. It's a friendly course and the staff were also very helpful. I'll be back when the sun shines.

    Best value for 25 Euros

This was a fabulous golf course. Very scenic, interesting layout, and the course conditions were superb. I have yet to find a better value for such a course. The only thing lacking was a driving range.

    Excellent Course

I stayed in the holiday homes on site and played three times. This is a fantastic course and excellently maintained. Greens have character. Well placed bunkers (as I found on many occasions) with loads of soft sand, fairways were well maintained, generous, but lay in wait for those who tried to bite too much off the tee. Rough was forgiving enough, but some long dense rough on the par threes. Water features on many holes and the last four holes are the best sequence I've played recently. At 25euro midweek, this represents great value. I played on Mon, Wed and Fri, and each day there was a full team cutting every green, fairway and on two of the mornings, the rough. Every bunker was racked and greens watered. All before first tee off at 8am. My only gripe was the office staff: I arrived on Sunday and enquires about tee times. I was told that there was nothing available for Monday AM, but could get me out in the PM for 25e or Tues - Fri for 30e. I told them I was a resident, but no discount. Went to my holiday home and checked on-line. Tee times were available before 9AM on Monday, and the price for Tues - Fri was 25e. I checked Golf Now and their price was 26e, claiming a discount of 25%. Moral; check all methods. I used Golf Now for Monday and the Golf Club website for Wed and Fri. Very user friendly.

Great course for the long hitter

We were a bit unlucky as it was very windy the day we played but we still really enjoyed the round. The wide fairways and big greens. Greens had plenty contours and receptive. Bunkers were in good condition and very consistent. The fairways were like a carpet. Enjoyed the challenge of the par threes especially the 18th.

ABSOLUTLY BEUTIFUL FOR THIS TIME OFF YEAR , GREAT CONDITIONS , CANT WAIT TO PLAY AGAIN . THANKS

    Long but managable

I played Knightsbrook in early December on a crisp, sunny day. Tee boxes and fairways were in very good condition, while the greens would have loved some TLC. Notices to repair pitch marks seem to be largely ignored. There are four par threes with accuracy and club selection very important due to water hazards lurking to receive any poorly judged shots. Overall I found it a well designed facility and I can't wait to return.

This course has a fantastic layout

Course has a fantastic layout, some holes the higher handicap golfer would struggle with a bail out shot as there really isn't one. Shaping the ball from the tee a must on some of the holes but good drives are rewarded with mid to short irons into the greens. Although the greens are big with plenty of slope and require your concentration .

    Meath Magic

Very well maintained course. Sandy bunkers, lush fairways and rolling greens. No bad holes on this course. Greens are well defended. It's on my re-visit list. Back 9 take in mature parkland features and some great challenges across water. Only gripe would be, for the visitor a course map on the scorecard would be useful.

Very interesting and well maintained parkland course

Beautiful parkland course attached to a luxurious spa hotel, which offers delicious coffee and scones before tee off and delicious food at the 19th hole. There are several challenging dog-leg holes which require an accurate tee shot to set up the shot to the green. Water also features at several holes on the course.

Do your stretches this course plays long ! but it is thouroughly enjoyable excellent parkland style course with a few water hazards and top quality challenging greens. once you grasp their pace they are lovely to play on. I would have liked a course map on the score card for my first outing though I generally go opposite to where I aim anyway. got a fantastic deal from golfnow.ie and saved a bunch of cash, course reminded me a little of Carton house in places. very enjoyable (with the discount)

Overpriced, I got it cheap @Euro 30 Wouldn't pay anymore

The course is pretty well maintained and challenging enough, it was a hot day when we played and we were held up after playing the 3rd hole for the remainder of the round so needless to say it was tiring waiting. Slow 4 ball players held us all up and this turned out to be a back log from hole 10 onwards, we were a two ball, there was a two ball behind us so we had to join up to delay the wait slightly and this didn't work. No rangers on course to help with matters. Overall we were disappointed and won't be returning any time soon.

Excellent challenge off the back tees

First time to play the course. Had heard good reports and had to test it out for ourselves and we were not disappointed. However, we probably got the best day of the year so far to play. Found the rough very difficult to play out of. Was it the very warm spell of weather we were having and the sudden growth that had it that long? Looking forward to playing Knightsbrook again very soon.

Excellent value for money on GolfNow.ie . On a couple of holes , the 17th in particular , the stream running across the fairway is not visible until you get very close to it . Enjoyable afternoon on a challenging but rewarding course!

Enjoyed my round at Knightsbrook yesterday with my good friend. Nice weather with no rain! Always helps! Looks like greens were pole-forked recently as there was still some evidence remaining. Needs some rain to complete the task but this is dependent on mother nature! Didn't put us off our game though! Fortunate to have a slot earlier than planned and weren't under pressure which was nice and allowed us to enjoy the round. No issue with changing time. Staff in pro-shop were pleasant and polite. My deal included free trollies but this wasnt offered by assistant - again it wasn't a problem for us as both of us haf electric trollies and preferred to use them. Would have been nice to be offered though if he has read the paperwork properly - small item but the devil is in the detail! Fairways were firm and the grass tight - probably gained a few extra yards as a result! Overall a good day out in Trim!

A long challenging course with an excellent closing stretch of holes

Enjoyed the course which was quite long and challenging. I played it from the white markers which meant it played about 6,700 yards in cold windy April air (had to do for my son who is a real golfer?). Greens were sanded and pole forked so didn't see the course at its best but imagine that during the summer the greens will be quick. 2nd 9 is the better and tougher of the two with a great closing stretch from 13 onwards. All in all a most enjoyable day. Food in bar was good afterwards.

    Very challenging

We really enjoyed this course and it was outstanding value for money at the reduced rate we payed. Decided to play off the white tees but on reflection it would have been better to play off the more advanced green tees. Would be a challenge even for single handicap golfers. The locker room and bar/restaurant facilities are second to none. Recommended!
