Starting life as a 9-hole course in 1921, the expertise of Harry Vardon and James Braid were called upon to oversee the addition of another 9 holes just one year later. James Braid then returned to redesign the course in 1928. Overlooking the course, from its lofty position, is the Northcliffe clubhouse with its wooden deck providing the ideal spot to soak up the sun. From here you can watch fellow golfers setting out from the 1st tee, to those concluding their round on one of golf’s great finishing holes.
The James Braid design at Northcliffe Golf Club, just outside Shipley, provides a full golfing experience, from the challenging course to the spectacular views culminating with a finishing hole that is a sight to behold.
