Course Information

Chesterton Valley Golf Course's tree-lined fairways mean that distance is less important and that you should focus on hitting the fairways with accuracy. The strategic bunker placement, especially around the greens, also means that your approach shots will need to be spot on to avoid ruining your scorecard. The 18th is said to be one of the best finishing holes in the area with a fairway that falls away from the tee as you drive into the valley floor.

    Chesterton Valley Feb2017

Our first visit to this golf course. The weather was fair, around 10C, not bad for February in the UK. Scorecard had a very good map of the course so we found our way around very easily. We tee'd off on time and pace of play was ok, about 4 hours. The fairways were in good condition considering how wet this winter has been, but some of the greens have suffered from the winter, so a little wet and quite bumpy. A few bunkers had some water. Overall we enjoyed the round, will have to visit again when the weather improves and the greens will no doubt be in better condition.

Considering the time of year the course was in good condition. We played on normal tees and normal greens, the greens were very good and the ball rolled well.
