Club Information

Founded in 1882, Minehead & West Somerset Golf Club is the second oldest golf club in the region, after Royal North Devon, but can lay claim to having the oldest course. The original course consisted of 9 holes and was designed by the Royal North Devon professional, Johnny Allen. It was later extended to 18 in 1901. The clubhouse sits beside the 18th green and due to the club’s close proximity to the sea there are some spectacular views to be enjoyed.
