Created in 1891 by David Brown, Open Champion in 1868, the course was originally a 9-hole affair that played in the opposite direction to the present day layout. The clubhouse was extended in 1994 and is spread across two floors incorporating changing rooms, restaurant, bar, lounge, pro shop and a balcony that overlooks the 18th green and the historical Slad Valley. A putting green, warm up net and chipping green can also be used for a pre-game warm up.
Known locally as the Jewel Of The Cotswolds and founded in 1891 Painswick Golf Club is an exciting and unique course that any golfer will be delighted to play.
