Course Information

Originally established as a nine hole course in 1909, Filton Golf Course has steadily evolved to become the 18 hole course it is today. Don’t let its length put you off, at 6147 yards the course presents a series of challenging water and sand hazards, tree lined fairways and blind dog legs which are sure to punish anyone who isn’t at the top of their game. The round culminates in the par 4 18th named the ‘Hump Back’ due to the large uphill slope up to the final green that is sure to ruin any tired golfer’s scorecard.

Played Filton on numerous occasion, very friendly staff, and a very challenging course for the average club player, some very long par fours, especially the 17th which I would imagine your average club player would find difficulty in reaching the green in two, should be a par 5. A nice course, plenty of trees with the need to be straight off the tees, but you wouldn't think you were at the back of an industrial area/ air field, but take the opportunity to take a picture of Concorde from the first tee, lovely sight.

    Great golf course

I played here at the end of October and was amazed at the superb condition of the course. I know from experience that this venue drains well all year round so I hope to visit again over the months to come. Highly recommended.

    Value for money

A little tricky to find, situated through a industrial estate, but well worth it. The course is in good condition with lots of nice holes, and it was not too busy. The pro was very helpful and friendly.

    Filton

Very friendly pro shop staff. Course in good condition. Greens were a bit slow but they were hollow timed 2 weeks previous and have healed well, hopefully the next cut will be lower. Really nice course and you have to be hitting straight or prepared to take your medicine and chip out from the 100's of trees sideways and sometime backwards!
