Course Information

The chalk downland terrain at Ashley Wood Golf Club means that the course drains very quickly and remains playable in all but the most extreme weather conditions. With an improved watering system the greens are kept in prime condition throughout the year. The course is par 70 and at 6,308 yards and, although not the longest golf course in Dorset, the last five holes provide a strong challenge for all levels of ability - especially if the wind is blowing. The fairways have gentle undulations with some tricky landing areas off the tee but are easy walking and a joy to play from. Regardless of your handicap, if you're looking for a challenging game of golf in Dorset you won't be disappointed.

Enjoyed the course, variety of holes to test your game. Greens were a little tierd and worn. Finished at 16.00 but unable to get any food at the bar. Would happily play course again.

From the moment we entered the park car you were made welcome. The course was in good condition and well laid out with play at a good pace. The Pro shop and restaurant well stocked to meet all your needs. we are looking forward to coming back soon. On the down side no course planner.
