The Old Course at Ferndown Golf Club is seen by many as one of the prettiest in the country and is sometimes compared with Augusta for its tee to green grooming. The pristine undulating fairways are lined with subtle hazards and it’s not uncommon to find yourself straying off into the troublesome heather borders. Upon finding the fairway, well designed and strategically positioned bunkers need to be averted before being left with true rolling putts that break gently on the slick greens. The steep-lipped sand traps are also to be avoided off the tee as position is critical, especially around the many dogleg shaped holes.
Only 15 minutes north of Bournemouth just off the A31.
