Course Information

Open all year round due to its automated irrigation system, Dudsbury Golf Club is a course that will challenge any golfer, no matter what their handicap is. The course was designed by Donald Steel and has been host to both PGA Europro tours and BMW PGA Championship events. There are large strategically placed bunkers across the course, as well as nine streams and lakes which meander through the course and demand a straight game as wayward shots will surely be lost to the water.

Approximate tee times

Please be advised, when booking tee times at Dudsbury Golf Club, all tee times are advisory. Dudsbury Golf Club operates a "ball-chute" queuing system for the first tee. On your day of arrival, please arrive in good time and report to the Professional Shop, once you have checked in they will advise you to put a ball in the ball-chute. In most cases this will result in teeing off ahead of your scheduled booking time. There will be times where the first tee will be busy and whilst the club does not issue specific start times for players, when operated correctly this method is deemed to be fair to all players.

location

Dudsbury Golf Club is located just over 7 miles North of Bournemouth, easily accessible via the A347.

    Poor Procedure

I booked a game via Teeofftimes website. You are given a precise tee off time which is initially booked and then you are advised that the tee off time has been confirmed by the golf club to Teeofftimes. Armed with my booked and paid for tee off time I arrived at the club 30 minutes before my allotted tee time. Was advised the golf club operates a ' ball in the chute policy' I.e. When you and your playing partners arrive, then go to the 1st tee and put your ball in the chute provided. If there are other balls in the chute then you can tee off when your ball becomes at the head of the queue. When I arrived 30 minutes before tee off, I looked at the chute and there were no balls in there. According to the rules you can only put a ball in the chute when your playing partner(s) have arrived. My golf partner arrived 15 minutes before our alloted tee off time. I went to put a ball in the chute and there were THREE balls now in there! The result of this was that we eventually teed off 30 minutes after our pre booked and paid for allocated tee time. Since we are now in winter, this meant we played the last 2 holes in darkness, which clearly would never have happened if we had started at the pre booked time. So why are Teeofftimes allowing pre bookings with a golf club operating the ' ball in the chute' method? I think Teeofftimes need to look into this as more people will become frustrated and angry. I cannot blame the Golf Club for operating this system but I feel this should be pointed out by Teeofftimes when making the booking.

    nice course worth playing again

this is a nicely laid out golf course a bit up and down but nothing too much. They had just treated greens so were a bit slow but they did run true. lots of water on this course so make sure you have a few balls if wayward. nice club house afterwards.

Good layout, good condition, good fun

This is a great little track, friendly locals, great facilities- bar, restaurant, etc. The course is undulating, reasonably wide fairways with plenty of trees, water, streams and deep rough to keep you honest. Holes are a good length, some long, mostly just right. I'd put a slope rating at about 124. I enjoyed the day look forward to returning.
