Course Information

The course at Westgate & Birchington Golf Club is one of the UK’s few clifftop based courses and, as you can imagine, this position affords some spectacular sea views. The primary protection against low scoring on the course is the prevailing wind and due to the creative design the wind will meet you at all angles through the round. A steady and controlled round of golf along with an imaginative short game will need to be played for a low score.

    Nice Course

Nice course layed out over three sepeare parks / fields. The 1st hole (when you eventually work out where it is) takes you up to a road where you cross and walk a couple of miniutes down to the next field. This is where the majority of the holes are eventually taking you down to sea views on top of a cliff. No par 5's on the yellow a lot of straight holes with very few trees but quite a few sand traps. Quite a few par 3's only one short the rest fairly long. Greens were good bar three which where water logged but. Overall i enjoyed it, wasnt busy at all in fact wasnt another group within four holes of us the whole way round. Went off at half 12 on a sunday so to be on our own was a pleasent change. Friendly staff in clubhouse and food was good.
