Dating back to 1898, and situated on the outskirts of Eastbourne, Willingdon Golf Club lies in a giant bowl alongside the South Downs. It received a makeover in 1925 from Dr. Alister Mackenzie, the renowned golf architect ,who includes Augusta National, amongst his masterpieces. Lying on chalk it drains well and offers play throughout the year. Measuring 6158 from the competition tees, the course offers a stern but fair test to golfers of all abilities. At all times the course is well manicured with first class greens. Holes 1, 9 and 15 are all near to the Clubhouse where you will receive a warm welcome from staff and members alike.
Willingdon Golf Club has several tough par 3s which demand good iron play in order to make par. Make the most of the shorter par 4s by opening the shoulders off the tee.
