    nice course but slow round

course was generally in good condition but still playing off mats on some tees course layout is good and was challenging in windy conditions round was slow due to a large competition which we were not made aware of when booking

Excellent day's golf despite playing early March!

Course is hilly but as (by & large!) you are playng along the gradients you don't arrive at your ball gasping for breath. Greens & fairways were in the sort of condition many courses won't achieve until late May - great! No water obstacles on the course but several 'blind' holes which keep the interest up (and several will become much more difficult when the trees green up). We copied the 'Pro's Tips' off their website which avoided us doing some silly things! Despite recent substantial rain the course was very well drained. There was only one temporary green in play and many of the bunkers were in need of a sand top-up and there were very few of the tees off mats all of which was anyway to be expected given the time of year. Clubhouse is functional and welcoming with great views over the easy-looking (but it turns out, quite challenging!) 18th. Bar prices not cheap! Good changing facilities and the Pro Shop seemed well stocked and was welcoming and helpful.

Wet and windy in the aftermath of Storm Doris, this was the first time we had played Temple. Pace of play was good with only occasional waits for the party ahead. The course was well looked-after and the greens were excellent. As high-handicappers, we found the course quite a challenge, due in part to the lateral slopes on some fairways leaving you with a downward lie. The greens were in excellent condition but some were undulating and care was needed not to leave a longish second (or third) putt. A friendly member told us that in the summer, they let the rough grow quite high so may be even tougher later in the year. However, we really enjoyed playing it and will definitely be back.

This course is in excellent condition

This is an excellent course in excellent condition. Some tees are fairly close to either the previous green or fairway so it is probably ideally a course for the middle to lower handicap golfers. Ideally it could do with providing some "next tee" signs as for visitors it it is not always obvious in some areas where the next tee is and there is no course map on the scorecard.

Could be a nice course but fairway condition was poor.

I had great hopes for this course and the first hole was fine, long downhill. After this the condition of the course got worse, the fairways were extremely rough, sometimes it was hard to work out where the fairway ended and the semi rough started. Lots of loose grass made it a complete mess, in many spots it was better to be off the fairway as the grass was better. There were two temporary greens, the one on the 15th was OK and it was located on apron of normal green, however the one on the 16th was a complete disgrace. It was located in the fairway proper and no attempt had been made to make it anything like a suitable green. Putting was a complete joke here. Sorry to say I would not return here.

A very enjoyable round of golf

Saturday lunchtime round in dry weather warm and breezy. Easy to find and plenty of parking although course not busy as we went off about 20 minutes early. Friendly and professional welcome led to first hole an epic downhill. First impression was of quality. Nice fairway and immaculate green. This carried on for the whole round. Not a course that the high handicapper will find too challenging but some holes make you think. Some bunkers a little lacking in sand perhaps is the single criticism. Otherwise absolutely lovely course. Thoroughly recommended.

What a course!!. By far the best I have played in UK and I play weekly at various affordable courses... The customer service, the fairways, bunkers, greens and even the tee boxes, were excellent!!! I can't think of a negative comment except for the OB on the 18th hole which caused me to lose my game!!!

    Hot & Hilly

Once we found it, our fault not theirs we were sutibly impressed that the car park was full. Weent to the Pro shop to check-in and was given a very warm welcome by the pro and he explained the direction of the course and the fact that once you leave the 1st tee, 'you don't return until the 18th green'. (This was good to know, because it was such a warm day we stocked up on drinks). There are however 2 points were water fountains are available. I can't remember the exact locatons. Sorry. We asked if we could buggy but unfortunately they were all booked and there was a problem with the chargers. We set off to the first tee a little late, but no-one seemed to mind. It is a very downhill Par 4 which we both parred, a good start. It's not a flat course by any means but aoart from the 1st downhill there aren't any real inclines as such. I don't walk and I don't do hills as a rule but I found it bearable. The 10th is a bit strange a 200+ yard Par 3, we couldn't see the flag, even though it was elongated the green is in such a dip that we had to walk to the edge of the precipice to see it. (I parred this hole, should of been a birdie, lol). The advertised walk-up price of £45 is too much, we got it for £19 each which was magnificent, thanks to LMG for this. An enjoyable day on a new course for us both. We will revisit, pre-order abuggy and when it's not so hot.

    Scenic rolling courtyside

A very pretty course, set in rolling courtyside. this is an energetic walk if the pace is kept up. The course was in great shape, the greens quite fast and it played short due to the good weather and dry conditons. All the staff and members were very welcoming and friendly. A good day out.

    Okay but a little mundane

A nice enough little course in good nick and with some pretty views, but there are several fiddly, short Par 4s and it is hard to feel like you are developing any kind of rhythm. Not for me...

    What a friendly atmosphere

I played this course as a group of three. Unfortunately the weather was atrocious and whilst there was some standing water, the course generally was in good nick all considered. We were greeted warmly on arrival and again on finishing the round by the club pro. It is definitely a course I will be returning to during the warmer months as it has some beautifully sculpted holes.
