Course Information

The entertaining layout of this golf course was designed by the legend Dave Thomas and encapsulates the surrounding landscape beautifully. Donnington Grove Golf Club set in the Newbury countryside has outstanding fairways that are well maintained all year round. The two nines are characteristically very different, as the front nine is set on the higher ground, making for a more undulating challenge. The back nine is more traditional parkland, using trees and water hazards to test all golfers. At Donnington Grove Golf Club, the fairways are tight placing importance on accuracy. Measuring at 7,100 yards off the back tees, Donnington Grove golf Club is a real test of golf.

    Always enjoyable here

Ok it's a trek between a few holes but let's be honest golfs an enjoyable walk anyway. Considering the weather the course is in good nick. Some challenging holes and enjoyable 4 hours.

    Cracking course

This really is a superb course, in great condition very challenging and well worth the price - we got a great deal! Used a buggy for the first time as the walk between some holes is quite far - and the course is fairly hilly!

    Worth getting a buggie

First time playing here I would go back a nice course but long. some of the walks between holes are verging on sadistic however it shouldn't put you off but spring for a buggie. I've played through ttimes often and can honestly say this is the best reception I've had from the staff very accommodating and friendly a big plus. I played in frozen conditions so it was tough but will be going again in warmer climes and would have no problem recommending this to other users .
