18 holes | par 71 | 6249 yards | Links
Unlike most public courses in the UK, it was designed by Harry Shapland Colt and is the oldest municipal links course in England. Southport Golf Links measures a fairly lengthy 6,200 yards and provides a tough golfing challenge. Thanks to its coastal location the course drains extremely well and is renowned for having some of the best greens in the area. Due to the forgiving fairways it is rare that you will lose a ball, which means that the pace of play is usually good too.

Course bit soggy in places. Expected at this time of year. Course ok but nothing special. All the holes seem to be up and down. Can't remember a dogleg at all. When I played there was no wind so course played easier. Decent day but wouldn't play again. There are too many courses out there I haven't played yet
