18 holes | par 72 | 6151 yards | Links
The championship links course at Silloth on Solway is one that should be on the list of must-play courses for all golf enthusiasts. Laid out over the natural terrain the course makes the most of its surroundings with gorse and heather seeming to encroach further into the course when the wind starts to blow. Completed with firm, fast and true running greens you will struggle to get closer to true links golf. The short par 3, 9th hole shows distance isn’t everything in golf with their take on the ‘Postage Stamp’, a beautifully crafted green. The signature par 5, 13th seems to be a never-ending hole played into a strong prevailing wind. This is a fantastic course which is thoroughly deserving of its growing reputation.
Silloth on Solway Golf Club is located just over 23 miles West of Carlisle, eaily accessible via the A595 & B5302.
