Course Information

The course at Keswick Golf Club is a par 71 parkland golf course measuring at 6200 off the championship tees. The rolling hills of the Lake District provide both a beautiful back drop, but also tricky playing conditions. Although not particularly long, it provides a test for golfers through its tree lined fairways, well protected greens and challenging lies. Hole 13 for instance, although the par 4 only measures at 421 yards off the championship tees, the tee shot requires a nice drawing drive to avoid the long rough on the right, but not too much, as the forest to the left will claim any wayward shots. The green is tightly hugged by the woodland and provides a nasty end to the hardest hole on the course.

    Good golf course.

An overall satisfactory day's golf. However the course was extremely wet and the greens were not very good (probably as a result of the wet conditions). I am also concerned that around the 14th green/15th tee and left hand side of the 16th fairway numerous trees have been removed for no obvious reason and in my humble opinion excerbating the flooding issues.
