A mature course that provides a tough but fair test of golf with both natural and man-made hazards providing the challenges. Natural obstacles come in the form of the numerous mature parkland trees lining the fairways and, in some cases, actually present on the fairways as well as a canal which runs through the heart of the course itself. The 12th hole is the signature being a strong par 5 requiring a long carry from the tee over a ravine to an uphill fairway and green. Water features on seven of the 18 holes and, although considered a tough test, the course is an easy walk with few hills and slopes. A must play high-standard parkland course easily accessible for all budding North West Golfers.
Astbury Golf Club is located just over 2 miles from Congleton, easily accessible from junction 17 of the M6 via the A34.
