Hexham Golf Club is a fast-draining parkland course on the south side of the River Tyne, and has built up a great reputation to the point that it was chosen to host the English Seniors Championship. The clubhouse, better known as Spital House, is a grade 1 listed building and provides the perfect backdrop to the course and, more importantly, the perfect place to enjoy a post-round bite to eat.
Ryder Cup player Harry Weetman once described Hexham Golf Club as one of the most beautiful settings for golf he had ever come across. The undulating parkland course, which sits on the south side of the River Tyne, was even chosen to host the English Seniors Championship.
