Having undergone a major redesign in 1997 by Peter Allis, The Signature Course at The Nottinghamshire is a real match for its older neighbour. Maintained to the same high quality standards, the subtle borrows and imposing oaks give it a far more mature look than its age, while grass faced bunkers and perilous water hazards keep you on your toes throughout. The 11th tee is an interesting feature, placed on a peninsula that juts out into the centre of a lake. At 5,946 yds Par 70, it may not be as long but it is still an excellent and enjoyable course to play.
Just East of Nottingham, The Nottinghamshire can be easily accessed from the A52 and A46.
Great design, played from white tee, my wife from red. It was challenging without destroying the fun. good fairways and true mid-speed greens, bunkers with correct amount of firm sand. Really enjoyed it and would love to play again.
I recommend this course
