Just outside the market town of East Retford, with easy access from the A1 and surrounding motorway networks, is Nottinghamshire’s 2012 County Course, Retford Golf Club. The club was first founded in 1920 with six holes designed by Tom Williamson that was then soon extended to 9. It was only in 1990 that a further 9 holes were added to create the full 18. A grand two-storey clubhouse overlooks the course, and a driving range is available for use should you need to work on your pre-game swing.
Voted as Nottinghamshire’s county course for 2012, this Tom Williamson designed layout only became a full 18-hole course in 1990. An eclectic mix of holes means that a round here is challenging and will keep you thinking and planning throughout your game.
