This traditional championship links has played host to many amateur competitions over the years. A course which is always in top condition due to its fast draining soil, it is an authentic and excellent challenge. The ‘out and back’ layout is as you would expect from a links of this stature with tight fairways throughout the 18. If the prevailing wind from the nearby coast is not enough of a challenge then the 75 bunkers and additional gorse bushes dotted around will certainly keep you on your toes. The short par 3, 10th is one to behold, from the elevated tee a deep bunker on the right seems to engulf one of the many undulating greens on the course. A classic venue with all of the prestige you would associate with a top links course.
Seacroft Golf Club is located just over a mile South of Skegness, easily accessibla via either the A52 or A158.
Played as a two so was a little slow as we were behind a three ball. However Seacroft is one of our favourite courses. Typical links, have to contend with all the elements. We had sun, rain, sleet and wind all on one round! It was in great condition though, especially considering the amount of rain we've had and the time of year. Green's were really good and very consistent. We didn't use the clubhouse this time, but on previous visits have found the facilities good and the food can be recommended also. Have booked another round there already for when we go over to the East Coast again. Highly recommended
