Kilworth Springs Golf club measures in at 6,543 yards, a par 72 course from the championship tees; although it was built in 1993 it has matured well into the landscape and is received as being one of the best within the Leicestershire region. A traditional links layout on the front nine eases you in, but water comes into play with several lakes along the back nine, adding to the challenge. A sand and shale base makes the drainage here excellent and therefore playable all year round. All in all the well maintained fairways and brilliantly preserved USGA specification greens will provide a great challenge to golfers of all levels.
Kilworth Springs Golf Club is situated just off the A4304, clearly signposted
Firstly if you need a course for wet conditions this is your course. Built on rock the water just disappears. The greens where very good when I played both times. There is a hut with vending machines for crisps, snacks, Tea, soup etc on the 10th tee which I thought was a nice touch. Enough difficulty to keep you interested throughout finishing with a short Par 3 over a lake. Very friendly staff in the shop. Unfortunately didn't have time for the 19th but it seems nice from the outside!
I recommend this course
